Talbott graduated from Taylor University in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in social studies education and taught in the classroom for 10 years. In addition, he received his master’s degree from Concordia University. Before coming to Harvest Christian Academy (HCA), he served as the assistant principal at Conant High School in District 211 from 2012–2016.

Talbott and his family have attended Harvest Bible Chapel since 2009. His professional journey at HCA began in the fall of 2016 and he was quickly promoted to the role of superintendent on June 1, 2017.
