How I came into a relationship with Jesus Christ
I grew up in the church and in eighth grade understood the grace of God to save me from my sin and I accepted Christ as my Savior. However, in college, while I knew I was God’s child, I wasn’t walking with him on a daily basis, which led to pursuing empty idols of affirmation and success. In the summer between my sophomore and junior year, the Lord graciously led me to an internship at my church and I recommitted my life to Christ, was baptized, and now desire to seek and serve only Him.
How I came to Harvest
While attending Harvest, I sensed the Lord calling me into something new. One weekend, I saw the email “What’s Happening at Harvest”. Looking at the posting for my current position, I thought “hmm, that sounds like me…” The Lord opened doors and I am grateful for His provision.
What I do at Harvest
I oversee the Harvest Kids Ministry across all campuses as it pertains to our process, procedure, and event management. Additionally, I lead the Rolling Meadows HK Ministry and the amazing staff that makes Kids Min happen each week.
Why I do what I do
I love Jesus and I love kids. There is an unexplainable joy in seeing a child understand and know the truth about Jesus. Their child-like-faith is so trusting, so joyful, so authentic! I am grateful and humbled for the Lord’s direction and provision to serve his children.
