I grew up in a Christian home, but even though I thought I knew Jesus because I was a good kid, it wasn’t until my first year in college when I hit my first crises of faith. Faced with many different religious beliefs and immersed in a pleasure-seeking environment, I entered the most miserable 1 1/2 years of my life as the desire for the world around me warred with my upbringing. I had to decide whether God was my God or my parents God.

Eventually, I saw that I had no other choice or hope but to submit my life to God, and I haven’t looked back.  My life has been, since then, a roller coaster ride of ups and downs, but through the years He has taught me beautiful things. The beauty of forgiveness, the beauty of the authority of God’s Word, the beauty of the church, the beauty of the word applied in life, and the beauty of hope for things yet to come.  I am forever grateful that my Lord condescended to save someone like me and teach me joy.

My wife Mari and I have been part of Harvest for 15 years, currently at the Crystal Lake Campus. I work in Electrical Engineering as a Senior Design Engineer designing custom analog integrated circuits for wireless applications.
