Dear Harvest Family,

As mentioned in our last email, we have been working on updates to share with you about church-related matters. And those updates are still coming, but first, we want to be true to the calling of the Lord to be thankful even in the middle of our difficult season.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 tells us, “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” This is a call to our church to take a few minutes to give thanks to God for who He is and what He is doing.

After such a full week of ministry, here are the things we want to thank God for:
For Jesus dying in our place.
For the resurrection of Jesus.
For those who made their faith public by being obedient in baptism.
For those who heard the Gospel, repented of their sin, and embraced Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
For the ministry of the Holy Spirit in our Good Friday and Easter services. God gives the fruit and all praise belongs to Him.
For those who visited our church for the first time this past weekend.
For the vast team of staff and volunteers that served so faithfully.
Thankfulness is a choice to acknowledge that every good and perfect gift comes from God. It’s not being naïve to the great needs that we have today. It’s choosing to allow our hearts to see the goodness of God that follows us all the days of our lives. No matter what the circumstance, let’s choose to be thankful.
