Have you lost your way…

or just need hope to get through a tough season of life?

We know everyone needs hope, but sometimes life has become so hard you want to give up. There comes a time for many of us when hoping in anything less than God’s restoration or comfort is like a Band-Aid on a gaping wound. In fact, the Bible says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.”(Proverbs 13:12).

We want you to know that real hope is more than wishful thinking or hedging your bets. Real hope is accessible through the gospel of Jesus Christ. This kind of life-giving hope is based on knowing that God has a plan for you. This is not wishful thinking but the confident expectation that your best days are ahead. The promise found in Scripture is this:

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”(Jeremiah 29:11)

Perhaps you have tried to get through a difficult valley or beat some bad habits with little success. If that is your story, don’t give up! Come to Hope Groups where others will walk with you, provide compassion, and point you to real help and hope.

“Hope Groups” is our church-based, 13-week recovery ministry held at various Harvest Bible Chapel campuses throughout Chicagoland. Some churches have 12 steps programs and support groups that focus on specific issues like substance abuse, grief, divorce recovery, etc. While those types of ministries may provide some help, we prefer not to identify someone by their struggle. Instead, we have developed a biblically grounded curriculum with powerful testimonies that focus on the heart of each individual.

Whether you are stuck in a pattern of sin or whether you are suffering from an enduring trial, this teaching will help. You will identify with others going through similar struggles, but, even more importantly, you will identify with Christ in a way that leads to true and lasting hope and freedom.

Make no mistake; hoping in God’s plan and promises is more than coping to get through another day. It is more than counting on time to heal the grief of a devastating loss. The hope described in the Bible far exceeds counting the days since you last used. We strongly believe that God will move you from a constant cycle of recovery or hanging on to temporary relief to redeeming your struggle for His glory and your good.

Are you ready for better days ahead?
