    Senior Staff Accountant

    Full Time | Rolling Meadows

    Job Description
    The Senior Staff Accountant will report to the Director of Accounting and will be responsible for financial accounting and reporting for the ministries of Harvest Bible Chapel and it's affiliated entities. This will include reviewing transactions and monthly reporting and preparing analysis of financial results for all entities.

    Essential Roles and Responsibilities

    • Process and review transactions in the various accounting systems
    • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and analysis
    • Prepare monthly reports and ad hoc reports, including providing reports for various departments and ministry leaders
    • Improve existing processes and establish new processes that maintain good accounting controls
    • Create spreadsheets and analyses as necessary to summarize results and support decision making
    • Review accounting transactions and ensure the financial statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
    • Assist in the annual financial statement audits
    • Facilitate annual budget process
    Educational Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and CPA certification
    Work Experience Requirements
    • 5+years in an accounting function, experience in a small or mid-size CPA firm is a plus

    Job Description

    This position encompasses general janitorial duties including cleaning, vacuuming, washing windows, etc. Position is also responsible for the assistance of event setup and tear-down. Additionally, porter responsibilities will include unloading and delivering supplies within the building.

    Customer Service Team Lead

    Job Description
    This position reports to the Call Center Manager and is responsible for providing quality and efficient customer service to donors and customers through the daily management of a team of 5-6 Ministry Service Representatives (MSR’s) at Walk in the Word. This role includes monitoring performance of team members in areas of service, quality, and efficiency of inbound and outbound calls, data entry, email correspondence, and order and donation processing. This role also includes, with the assistance of the Call Center Manager, training, coaching, motivation, evaluating, recognizing and rewarding team members.

    Essential Roles and Responsibilities

    • Provide daily direction to the MSR’s and contracted call center regarding new offers, products, events, programs and systems
    • Manage efficient and quality service of inbound and outbound calls
    • Manage accurate and complete data entry into database, providing correction, adjustments, and suggestions on data processing
    • Manage system Help Tickets/Error Resolutions and follow-ups, Orbital transactions (credits, refunds, and inquiries), and Push2Pay account set-ups and cancellations
    • Ensure timely and appropriate responses to customers and donor correspondence (mail and email)
    • Enter accounts receivable and new donor/customer accounts into database
    • Provide auditing of 10% of MSR and contracted call center calls, data entry, order and donation processing, and email correspondence
    • Provide statistical and performance feedback and coaching on a weekly basis to each team member, working to maintain a high-quality work environment that motivates employees to perform at their highest level
    • Write and administer performance reviews and provide appropriate training, with the assistance of the Sr. Manager Donor and Ministry Services, for skill improvement

    Worship Leader

    Full Time | Rolling Meadows and Aurora

    Job Description
    This position reports to the Worship Pastor and is the primary Worship Leader at the Aurora Campus. They are responsible for recruiting, leading and scheduling volunteers for both main services and student ministries and are part of a centralized team based in Rolling Meadows.


    Essential Roles and Responsibilities

    • Lead worship 40-50 weekends of the year, primarily at the Aurora Campus
    • Recruit, coach, schedule and lead a team of worship and production volunteers at the Aurora Campus
    • Participate in weekly meetings and tasks with a collaborative, creative and centralized team at the Rolling Meadows campus under the leadership of the Worship Pastor

    Inventory Management Assistant

    Job Description
    Coordinate all daily inventory management and event related activities. Support all road trip events coordinating shipping to, as well as on-site material management. Support the fulfillment and distribution process of all request for Walk in the Word product.

    The Jr. System Administrator role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business and ministry tasks. This includes actively resolving end user support requests within established SLAs, and troubleshooting level 1 network issues.


    Essential Roles and Responsibilities

    • Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems
    • Alert management to emerging trends in incidents
    • Assist in software releases and roll-outs
    • Act as an escalation point for advanced or difficult help requests
    • Build rapport with service desk customers
    • Document and escalate user issues to Level 2 Support (when required)

    Adult Ministry Pastor

    The Pastor of Adult Ministry is a vital member of the Niles Campus Ministry team and works closely with the Campus Pastor in Niles. The Pastor of Adult Ministries is primarily responsible for the development of Small Groups and connection of Adults on the Niles Campus. Candidate will need to be able to multiply His ministry into the lives of others.


    Essential Roles and Responsibilities

    • Oversee our Adult Small Groups (currently 48 Small Groups), that meet at church and in homes
    • Identify and developing new leaders
    • Equip current leaders for more effective ministry
    • Ensure quality care and direction for group members as needed; at times in conjunction with our Biblical Soul Care ministry
    • Connect new people to small groups
    • Develop opportunities for women (in coordination with our women’s leaders) to engage in small groups “on campus” by providing direction and logistics (i.e. rooms and childcare) for women on mornings and evenings during the school year
    • Participate as a member of the Niles Campus Staff Team, and the All Campus Adult Ministry Team, to contribute to and benefit from the collaboration and coordination among those teams
    • Ensure Flock and Small Group Leaders engage in the broader ministry of the church in various ways (special baptism interviewing opportunities, serving communion, prayer initiatives, etc)
    • Oversee Campus when Campus Pastor is not present at the campus
    • Availability to do announcements and prayer during our weekend services
    • Assist Campus Pastor in Connection of new people into Harvest, including Step 1, Step 2, and follow up
