The Senior Executive Pastor (COO) partners with the Senior Pastor to establish, communicate, and implement Harvest Bible Chapel’s ministry, vision/mission, strategies, and goals. The mission (Glorifying God by Making Disciples) defines the roles and responsibilities of the Senior Executive Pastor position. The Senior Executive Pastor runs and provides general management of day-to-day church operations including the facilitation of strategic planning, implementation of key initiatives, direction of human resources and information systems, provision of healthy/sustainable finances, and coordination of facility use. They also assure the execution of effective and sustainable weekend ministry.
The Senior Executive Pastor (COO) must meet the qualifications of elder/overseer (1 Timothy 3 and Titus 3). They must be a man of prayer, Bible study, and integrity. They will have a proven performance track record of excellence, vision leadership and implementation, strategic thinking, planning and organizing, motivation, communications, change management, customer service, analysis, judgment, technical skills, teamwork, quality management, and adaptability. An undergraduate degree in business or a related field is required, and 10+ years of high-level leadership and management experiences is preferred for the Senior Executive Pastor position.
