    Student/Children’s Ministry Administrative Assistant

    Job Description

    The Student/Children’s Ministry Administrative Assistant is a vital member of the student ministry and children’s ministry team and works closely with the Student Ministry Pastor and Children’s Ministry Coordinator in Niles.     This position reports to Director of Children’s Ministry.  The Video Editor will be part of filming process and use After Effect, Premier and Motion to create weekend services videos for all seven campuses.  Their major responsibility is to deliver the weekend tech package in completion to each campus’ computer on time working weeks in advance and managing many different projects at one time.

    • 5+ Years working with PHP, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and .NET
    • 5+ Years working in an environment where SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes were followed. This includes methodologies like Waterfall, and Agile. Some knowledge of Scrum would be great too.

    Job Description

    This full-time position reports to the Senior Director of Communications, serving Harvest Bible Chapel and Walk in the Word, and is responsible for management of communications-related projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to project management from concept to completion; interfacing with ministry clients and cross-team coordination; supporting various digital, print, and web communications; and administrative and support functions for the Senior Director.


    Essential Roles & Responsibilities
    • Assesses ministry and internal communications project requests primarily for Harvest Bible Chapel;  by interfacing with clients and interdepartmental creative and development teams to determine the best course of action; and ensuring deadlines are met with the highest standards of execution
    • Supports print and digital content by proofreading, copywriting, web publishing & graphic design editing
    • Provides administrative support to Senior Director of Communications
    • Communicates  analytics reporting
    • Documents standard operating procedures
    • Organizes all physical and digital file s
    • Special projects and other duties as assigned

    Educational Requirements

    • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in communications, project management, administrative support or a related field a plus

    Work Experience Requirements

    • Must have prior experience with print and digital communications, project management and administrative functions
    • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Mac applications preferred
    • Experience with digital environments such as CMS and web editors, cloud files, etc. preferred
