Dear Harvest Family and Praying Friends everywhere:
We are now 25% of our way through the 40-city Vertical Church tour—and half way to a trip home to see our church family, whom we miss greatly.
Last night we had a 'home town' crowd as we partnered with Pastor Bryan Payne and the folks at Harvest Bible Chapel in Austin, Texas, to fill their high school auditorium. The worship was fervent and sweet, and the Lord moved in the hearts of people in answer to prayer and the proclamation of His Word. We met many afterward who have been won and discipled through the ministry of Walk in the Word and reported a deep resonance with the message of Vertical Church. Praise God! How badly our nation and continent need to see a turning and returning to the Lord and His ways in the church. How grateful we are for the privilege of bringing this message to so many hungry hearts. Each night there are many pastors in attendance and others reporting a call to ministry focused upon the biblical priorities of God's glory and God's Son.
Today we rest in El Paso and drive through the night to Phoenix, resting up for a Pastors Conference and another VC event in Phoenix on Tuesday. We are excited to see Bill Borinstein and the thriving Harvest Bible Chapel there, as well as Adam Bailey and his core team—soon to launch a second church plant there in the valley of the Sun. Nothing reflects Great Commission priorities better than a church plant that plants churches, and we are excited to see that reality developing in many places across Harvest Bible Fellowship.
We are grateful for Pastor Rick's ministry of the Word these weekends, and look forward to getting back into the gospel of John and seeing many of you face-to-face early in September.
Your prayers are the difference and we love you greatly,
James and Kathy
